This photo was taken on my iPhone and edited on my iPad in Snapseed (which is currently on sale for free in the App Store). It was shot from Olive Park just north of Navy Pier. Did you know Olive Park is named after Pfc. Milton L. Olive, III, the first African American to receive the Medal of Honor during the Vietnam War? According to Wikipedia: "At the age of 18, Olive sacrificed his life to save others by smothering a live grenade." Terrifying.

Sun Setting
Tables in the Courtyard
The low, setting sun really does create some spectacular light sometimes. Even my iPhone 4 can capture it wonderfully.
The 99% Full Moon
I took this interesting photograph of the 99% full moon early this morning at around 2 AM. It captures the mood I felt very well, but of course the detail isn't there. This is heavily processed using Camera+ and after import to my iMac, Aperture 3. I like it.
Stormy Skies in Chicago
The skies here in Lincoln Park are looking rather foreboding.

This is what the end of the world will look like.
My Permanent Shadow

Shadows
"What drives me to be an artist, to make the work I do and I think that a large part of being an artist is being delusional. You have to be totally delusional and slightly narcissistic. You have to be delusional to think that you’re going to think up stuff and people are going to be interested in it." – Phil Toledano
Spring Is Coming
The snow is melting, running underground through miniature caverns. It's quite beautiful. But, it's frightening knowing that all over the earth, much more massive glaciers and snowcapped mountain peaks are suffering the same free flowing melt.
Snowpocalypse Chicago 2011
The morning after the blizzard that rocked the Midwest. In Chicago's Logan Square hundreds of cars remain buried under tons of snow.
Panorama of the Chicago River
Just made this with Pano and Photogene for the iPhone. It's a beautiful day down here by the Chicago River. I'm sitting between State Street and Wabash Avenue looking north across the river at the beautiful Marina Towers.
Hipstamatic for iPhone
A couple cool snapshots I made with Hipstamatic on my iPhone 3G. The first is Rupert in the bathroom and the second is from the CTA Blue Line heading towards O'Hare International Airport. What do you think?
